Arctic Dove Limited was founded by Paul and Janet Wiedemann, both from Aklavik, in 1997. Their business philosophy is to provide honest, safe, and dependable service for the Mackenzie Delta area. Arctic Dove Limited credits the dedication and pride of its core of three full time Inuvialuit drivers for the successes and safety record achieved. Their combined experience delivering fuel locally is unequaled. The fact that they are able to maintain continuity of direct employment promotes the expertise they posses.
Originally an Imperial Oil Limited agent, Arctic Dove Limited is now a direct reseller of bulk fuels and Mobil packaged lubricants. As a direct reseller we have worked with our petroleum products suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, as well, we can offer discounts to our dedicated customers, based on volume of purchases.
Presently, Arctic Dove Limited transports bulk fuels, drummed fuels, and packaged lubricants to any location within the Mackenzie Delta Beaufort Coast region (Gwich’in and Inuvialuit Settlement Regions) that has ice road or highway access. We also transport customer owned bulk and packaged products within Aklavik, Inuvik, Tuktoyaktuk, Ft. McPherson, Tsiigehtchic, and exploration sites.
Arctic Dove Limited takes safety and customer service very seriously. Our senior driver has twenty years experience with all aspects of petroleum transportation and our other two full time drivers were trained “in house” to exceed the standard demanded by regulatory agencies and they have been with the company for several years. Arctic Dove uses company owned equipment and company labor only, sub-contractors are not used.
Arctic Dove Limited’s equipment is maintained to meet or exceed the high standards demanded of fuel transport trucks. We do this by:
-Employing one full time and one part mechanic to ensure a safe truck fleet and to be able to independently guarantee continuity of service.
-A Transport Canada licensed inspector is hired annually to carry out TDG regulated inspections governed by CSA B620-98. These regulations call for hydrostatic inspections every five years and leak tests annually. We believe that the rigors of operation in the arctic call for annual hydrostatic tests and that is what is done.
-The Delta region has not seen any Government weights and measure inspectors; however, the recommended confirmation requirement is bi-annual. At Arctic Dove Limited we hire an independent contractor annually to confirm our meter calibration.

. We can meet or exceed all safety requirements for any companies and as a result we have been fortunate to deliver or haul for all major oil companies that have operated locally. Arctic Dove has proven its equipment can move nine-hundred thousand liters to locations within 200km weekly.
